Hi! I'm Libby. It's so nice to meet you.
I'm a designer with a passion to make the world an easier, more meaningful place to live, for all, through the use of empathetic, inclusive, and aesthetic design solutions.
I have a background in psychology, communication, instructional design, and training & development. In my over a decade of experience working in public services, one thing in particular has remained constant; my desire to help people. I want to design for good and help others through their journey through products and services that enhance their lives.
My background in instructional design, public speaking, and professional training while working for public services has given me the rewarding opportunity to work with a broad scope of people, each with their unique stories, backgrounds, learning capabilities, and ages. I've also worked to improve learning processes and increase technological competencies of under-represented groups in the community.
My work in technology program development, class training, and one-to-one training, showed me early on that it's not the person who is at fault, it's the design. Through observing and helping hundreds of people use technology, it allowed me to not only discover what makes great design but also to focus on designing classes that help people learn about their devices and software in the most intuitive, non-threatening way possible.
I am looking for a role with a creative or mental health minded company which will help me develop more as a designer, and allow me to work as part of a team to solve problems creatively while designing easy to use as well as fun products and services for all individuals.
Thank you for stopping by!
